Companion Animals

Dr. Sarah’s approach is about wellness and the body’s ability to adapt. Animals respond tremendously when their bodies are given the potential to operate at their peak level. Chiropractic adjustments help them organize their natural healing processes.

A “subluxation” or distortion in the neurospinal system decreases an animal’s ability to adapt, which therefore reduces the functioning of their bodies. This distortion results from restricted or decreased ranges of motion in the spine. Decreased motion reduces the communication between the brain and the body. Therefore, restoring motion through gentle adjustments resets or upregulates this communication. Motion is life!

Veterinarians increasingly refer geriatric patients for care, but an animal doesn’t have to be near the end of life or in pain to benefit from chiropractic.

Equine

As a lifelong equestrian and former professional rider, Dr. Sarah knows the benefits of chiropractic for both horse and rider. Regular chiropractic adjustments allow for proper biomechanics and chain of movement in a horse’s body. This leads to heightened awareness of body biomechanics and footfall, increased flexibility and range of motion.

Additionally, chiropractic care can down regulate the “fight or flight” mode and up regulate the ability to rest and digest. Adjustments stimulate and promote overall well being for the horse.

Laser Therapy

Dr. Sarah employs laser therapy, a complimentary modality used to enhance healing and/or relieve pain. Specifically, she uses the Multi Radiance Activ Pro Super Pulsed Laser, which uses innovative technology to deliver light energy to tissue, which reduces pain and increases circulation. It is the most optimal mechanism for laser treatment, providing maximum light density without the hazardous thermal effect. Multi Radiance technology has been validated in vitro, in vivo, in controlled laboratory experiments and in clinical practice.
